Description
Project "Three Ports" accomplished the Priority 1. Competitiveness and productivity growth of the cooperation area through development of cross-border infrastructure and border security, economic and scientific/technological cooperation. Measure 1.4. Development of tourism and tourism infrastructure to encourage development of cross-border tourism and recreation as well as improvement of cultural heritage objects of cross border importance.
The main goal of the project is:
The development of cooperation area through development of marine tourism and port infrastructure.
Purpose of the project is to create cooperation's platform and exchanging of experience within development of tourism and marine tourism. On the one hand, contributes to creation of cooperation network within promotion and realization of tourism development strategy on cross-boarder area, on the other hand, equip the partners with technical documentation of building up and modernization of yacht ports.
The action of realization the vision of development of cross-boarder area is to prepare technical documentation of modernization ports and tightening of cooperation concern of promotion and joint tourism policy, especially marine one.
After completed the project next expected step is to continue the policy and modernization of yacht ports.
Present project is continuation of works begun while project "Balanced spatial development with pointing out the network of ports for water tourism and The Baltic Sea Region - SUPORTNET" (No. PI/9811/57M). The project was executed and co-financed within INTERREG III B programme of UE.
The project is being prepared with Russian partner (Zelenograds Municipality - Kaliningrad District), who couldn't join the project yet, but will when co-financing within TACIS will start.
The target groups are communities of inhabitants of partner's town. They will derive the biggest advantages coming from the project. The project is directly heading to entrepreneurs, owners of small and medium companies, and mostly to tourist trade.
